Holy Shit. That’s all I can say about Stephen Strasburgs debut. 14 Ks, Zero Walks on just 94 pitches. Noone’s ever struck out that many hitters with that few pitches. Outside of Delwyn Young putting a hanging change-up (barely) into the RF bleachers not a single Pittsburgh hitter had a solid hit. It was just an absolutely dominating performance. He struck out the last 7 he faced with his last 3 fastballs coming in over 97mph. I don’t care that it was against the Pirates, most of those guys belong on a major league team and he tore them apart. His next start will be Sunday against the equally as feeble Cleveland Indians.
