Danny Espinosa, Eury Perez to Play In Futures Game

Because I am some where between a ”dork” and ”effing obsessed” when it comes to minor leaguers, I tend to pay more attention to the Futures Game during All-Star week then I do the actual All-Star Game.  It’ll be the only time I’ll see these players until the Pirates trade Andrew McCutchen for them in a year or two. Of even greater attention to me is the Nationals representatives in this years game- Double-A Shortstop Danny Espinosa and Single-A Outfielder Eury Perez. Espinosa, 23, is hitting .249 with 9 homers at Harrisburg and will probably be moved to 2nd base as he advances towards Washington. Perez,20, is hitting .257 for Low-A Hagerstown and is seen as a a potential future lead-off man for the Nats.
