Harrisburg Senators Fan Fest set for April 2nd

The Harrisburg Senators will kick off their 25th season this year by holding an April 2nd Fan Fest at Metro Bank Park. The Senators will open their gates at 11am for what is sure to be an exciting day for fans of all ages.

Unlike most Fan Fest’s the Senators will actually be mixing a little bit of baseball in as those in attendance will be able to take in a double header between two Pennsylvania colleges and conference rivals Messiah College and Lebanon Valley College. Both games will be 7 innings and will feature some pretty talented players.

The double header though is just one part of the excitement as fans can also take part in a stadium tour that includes visiting the clubhouses, television control room, Patriot News Press Box Club, luxury suites, and press area including the radio booths. Stadium tours will last approximately 20 minutes and give fans a chance to see areas of the stadium that is not normally open to the general public at games.

Plan on bringing younger children to it? Well no problem there will be stuff for them to do as well

The kids play area will be open so if you have small children make sure to take them to check out the popular inflatable play area for kids.

Also for anyone wanting to see what type of Harrisburg Senators souvenirs the stadium has to offer well the team store will be open for the Fan Fest. So fans in attendance will get a first look at the new items that will be available for the 2011 season. So if you get the chance check it out because they do have a pretty nice team store.
