Strasburg is headed to Potomac

Stephen Strasburg will be making his next start while pitching for the Potomac Nationals on Friday night vs the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. It is a home game for the Potomac Nationals so for anyone in or around the Woodbridge, Virginia area interested in seeing him pitch in person here is your chance.

The game is scheduled for a 7:05 start time but the gates will open up at 5:00 pm and for the first 2,000 fans through the gate with a ticket they will receive a free souvenir numbered raffle ticket for a chance to win Strasburgs game worn jersey that will also be autographed by Strasburg. Also for the first 1,000 fans through the gate they will receive a free Ian Desmond bobblehead.

Friday will only be Strasburg’s second rehab start and is expected to throw only around 45 pitches or so this time out.

In his first start while pitching for the Hagerstown Suns he gave up 1 earned run on a solo home run in 1 and 2/3 innings while striking out 4.
