DoD Content Recap: January 29 - February 4

Another week in the books. Another week closer to the start of Spring Training. We’re roughly two weeks away at this point in time and it won’t be a surprise if we start to hear some names arriving at camp early.

The biggest news out of Washington this past week was easily the unexpected signing of Edwin Jackson Thursday, further strengthening an already improved starting rotation. Of course, adding Jackson to a rotation already fronted by Jordan Zimmermann, Gio Gonzalez, and Stephen Strasburg has created a broader competition for the final spot in the rotation, a competition between Chien-Ming Wang, John Lannan, and Ross Detwiler.
