Grapefruit League games are officially underway, as the Nationals dropped their first game Saturday afternoon against the Houston Astros and former National Livan Hernandez. Baseball’s back.

In case you missed it when the post first went up on Friday, we’ve partnered with TiqIQ on an opportunity for one luck fan to win a pair of tickets to see the Nationals on Opening Day. The steps you’ll need to take in order to enter are quite simple and can all be found in the post below (see Friday’s posts).

Generally speaking it was a relatively quiet week, though we did have 13 new posts on the site over the past week. Sunday’s official announcement of the extension for Ryan Zimmerman was easily the most significant news of the week. The six year, $100 Million extension will keep Zimmerman in Washington through the 2019 season.
