Another week in the books. Another week closer to Opening Day. Meaningful baseball does begin on Wednesday, as the Oakland A’s and Seattle Mariners are playing a two game series in Tokyo, Japan this week in the official start to baseball’s regular season. Washington’s first game is one week from Thursday in Chicago.

We found ourselves with a couple of recurring topics this week – from looks at center field solutions to the start of our season previews and even some Dontrelle Willis speculation (before he signed with Baltimore). The story of the week with the most immediate impact, however, might be the mounting injury concerns populating Viera. Chien-Ming Wang is going to miss Opening Day and there’s been a decent scare that Michael Morse may be absent as well. Plus there have been various moments of concern with Drew Storen, Adam LaRoche, Jayson Werth, and others. There’s a little over a week to get some of these guys into games and into the lineup in time to face the Cubs.
