I don’t disagree that Lidge won’t be getting the ball in a save situation anytime soon. When Lidge came into the ninth the other day, it wasn’t a save situation. Lidge turned it into one and Clippard had to come in when he could have used the night off.

With Clippard in shut down mode, I doubt Lidge will be getting the ball in any save situations from here on out. In fact, if Lidge continues to struggle I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets DFA’ed when Storen returns.
