Espinosa, Morse In Starting Lineup Against Dodgers

Danny Espinosa and Michael Morse are both in the starting lineup lineup for Game 1 of today’s doubleheader against the Los Angeles Dodgers (via ESPN.com).

After going through an MRI on his left shoulder yesterday, x-rays came back negative on Espinosa. He will get the start at second base today for the first time after taking a cortisone shot. Luckily, Espinosa’s injury occurred in between series, so he didn’t miss any time with his injury.

Morse, on the other hand, missed the entire weekend series against the Braves with a bruised bone in his left wrist. He’ll start in left field after missing the last four games.

Jordan Zimmermann (10-8, 3.01 ERA) will take the mound for the Nats in Game 1, pitching for the first time in eight days against Aaron Harang (9-9, 3.79 ERA). Be sure to check back here at District On Deck tonight for summaries of both games!
