Zimmermann went 12-8 this year with a 2.94 ERA, his first without an innings limit after being limited to 160 innings in 2011 as a part of his Tommy John surgery recovery. The terms of the deal are not yet known, but the Nationals filed for $4.6M in arbitration while Zimmermann filed for $5.8M, so the deal is likely to be somewhere around $5.2M.

Update, 7:05 PM: The one-year deal is worth $5.35M.
