Preview And Lineups: Spring Training Game 6 | New York Mets @ Washington Nationals

facebooktwitterreddit

On the first day of Spring Training, the New York Mets trotted out what was almost their opening day lineup. Today, well, not so much. They will be pitching Rafael Montero (Shaun Marcum was listed as the starter, but they probably want him to avoid showing his stuff to the Nationals twice this early in Spring) and starting a group of backups and prospects. There’s nothing wrong with that. You can tell which team is home and away most times just by looking at the lineups. Every team does it. Remember when we were excited for these Spring Training games? Oh wait, Stephen Strasburg is starting for the Nationals? Faith in baseball is restored.

Tyler Moore gets another start, this time in left field and Anthony Rendon is at third base. Chad Tracy practices for his role of grabbing a bat from the bench to hit.

This game is also on television starting at 6:05. The game is available on MASN and MLB Network (and MLB.tv) outside the Washington area.
