After last night’s embarrassing defeat, anything will be an improvement today. Ross Detwiler makes his first start of the season, taking on Cincinnati’s Mike Leake, who is doing the same. Leake had a 4.58 ERA last season in 179 IP, while Detwiler had a 3.40 ERA in 164.1 IP. The Nationals also chose to bench Adam LaRoche, who has started the season 0-12, and replaced him with Chad Tracy at first.
