Lineups: Gio Gonzalez Looks To Rebound, Faces Arroyo In Series Opener

With six straight losses at home, the Nationals are desperate for a turnaround. They won’t have any help from their opponents in doing it, as they face the tough, 13-9 Cincinnati Reds, who beat the Nats in two of three earlier this year. Gio Gonzalez will take the mound to try to stop the streak. Thus far this season, he is 1-1 with a 5.85 ERA, having gone only four innings while allowing four runs in his most recent start. Cincinnati will counter with Bronson Arroyo, who is 2-1 with a 3.54 ERA. In search of offense, manager Davey Johnsonis shaking up the lineup in the hope that runs fall out. The Nats have only scored four runs in their past four games combined, but will look to wake the bats up tonight. Here are tonight’s lineups:
