Lineups: Batting Order Shaken Up In Search Of Runs

After scoring just ten runs in their last six games, the Nationals are doing everything they can to help spark the offense. Davey Johnson has mixed up the batting order again, most notably sitting Denard Span after he fouled a few balls off his foot last night. Stephen Strasburg (1-4, 3.13) will be making his seventh start of the season despite forearm irritation during his last outing. He has not yet looked like himself, having lost four straight decisions, although some of that falls on a lack of run support. The key for him will be to have a clean first inning, as his first-inning ERA this season is a sky-high 10.50. Opposing him will be second-year starter Jeff Locke(3-1, 2.83), who has not allowed a run in his last two outings, totaling 13 IP. Here are today’s lineups:

Danny Espinosa 2B

Ian Desmond SS

Bryce Harper RF

Ryan Zimmerman 3B

Adam LaRoche 1B

Tyler Moore LF

Wilson Ramos C

Roger Bernadina CF

Strasburg RHP

Starling Marte LF

Travis Snider RF

Andrew McCutchen CF

Garrett Jones 1B

Russell Martin C

Pedro Alvarez 3B

Jordy Mercer 2B

Clint Barmes SS

Locke LHP
