Lineups: Nats Head West To Face Reeling Dodgers
By Andrew Flax
After two games to forget against the Cubs, the Nationals are journeying west for a ten-game west coast road trip. First on the docket are the Los Angeles Dodgers, who have struggled of late. They lost their first eight games of May before taking two from the Marlins. The Dodgers are 28th in baseball in runs scored, and will certainly not be happy to see Jordan Zimmermann tonight, who is third in the NL in ERA, and leads the league with six wins. Meanwhile, the Nationals are just one spot above LA at 27th in runs scored, but are more fortunate in the pitching matchup. Dodgers starter Josh Beckett, who came over in the mega trade from Boston last season, is 0-4 with a 5.13 ERA. Knowing these two teams, it’ll be a low-scoring affair, so you might fall asleep quickly if you’re staying up for tonight’s 10:10 PM EDT start. Here are tonight’s lineups:
May 12, 2013; Washington, D.C., USA; Washington Nationals pitcher Drew Storen (22) throws to first base for an out as Chicago Cubs second baseman Darwin Barney (left) runs to first base in the eighth inning at Nationals Park. The Cubs defeated the Nationals 2-1. Mandatory Credit: Joy R. Absalon-USA TODAY Sports
