Lineups: Harper Still Out As Nats Gun For Series Win, NL East Tie
By Andrew Flax
After the Nationals and Dodgers split the first two games of their three-game series thanks to great pitching performances by Jordan Zimmermann and Clayton Kershaw, the pressure is on tonight’s starters to win the series for their team. Ross Detwiler (2-3, 2.53) will be under a bit of additional pressure: after Atlanta’s loss earlier today, the Nationals can claim a tie for the NL East lead with a win today. The Dodgers have their own storyline in tonight’s game: Zack Greinke (1-0, 1.59) will be returning from the disabled list. He had been out since April 11th with a fractured collarbone he suffered at the hands of Carlos Quentin during a brawl. His ERA may seem shiny, but is nearly meaningless, considering he has only made two starts this season. For comparison, he allowed three runs in 4.1 innings in his High A rehab start last Friday. In addition, Bryce Harper is still out after his collision with the wall Sunday night. The team maintains he does not have a concussion, and all indications are that that is the case, but he is still sore. Here are tonight’s lineups:
