After an 8-0 loss to the Giants to open the three game series, the Nationals look to even up the series behind the big right arm of Stephen Strasburg. Strasburg (2-5), who pitched a career high eight innings last Thursday, looks to collect back to back wins for the first time this year. Opposing him will be Giants’ workhorse Matt Cain. Cain (3-3), has struggled so far this season with an ERA over 5 and has given up an NL Leading 13 homers in just nine starts. While both pitchers havent had the starts many fans expected from them, the potential is always there for dominance. Look for the Nats to force a rubber game for Wednesday night with a win behind Stras.
Hi everyone!! I'm currently a senior at Sidwell Friends School in Washington DC, and I write for and am the editor for the sports section of the Horizon, the school paper, and I hope to continue writing in college. On the baseball side of things, I've been a huge fan of the game most of my life and accept any chance I can get to take in a game. I have supported the Nationals for a while now and enjoyed seeing their rise to power in 2012. Go Nats!
