Gio Gonzalez may not face a suspension from the MLB as they conclude their investigation of Anthony Bosch’s Miami drug clinic, Biogenesis. Gio was listed as one of Bosch’s clients, but reportedly received only licit drugs from him.

News broke today that MLB is nearing the end of its investigation of Bosch’s business and could soon be ready to suspend 20 or more players, including Alex Rodriguez and Ryan Braun. However, ESPN’s TJ Quinn, one of the report’s main authors, says Gio is unlikely to be suspended because Bosch will confirm that he never received any substances banned by MLB.

This news is quite positive for the Nationals, but Gio’s fate will not be secure until suspensions are announced and he is or is not among them. Only MLB and time can tell.
