Nationals look to start streak against Correia and the Twins

After a rainout Friday night, the Nats will officially welcome the Twins for the first game of the series Saturday afternoon. Southpaw Gio Gonzalez(3-3) will oppose Kevin Correia(5-4) of the Twins as the Nationals seek to return to .500. Gio is coming off a dominant performance against the Atlanta Braves, going seven innings of one run ball with seven strikeouts. Kevin Correia, after a strong start to the season, has a 6.09 ERA in his last six outings. The Twins offense has largely been carried by catcher Joe Mauer and left fielder Josh Willingham. The Twins also seem to be regretting trading center fielder Denard Span to Washington, as their leadoff hitters have combined for a .181 average. This is the Twins first visit to DC since the then Washington Senators relocated to Minnesota in 1961.
