Zimmermann Takes The Mound As Rockies Come To Town

After a hotly contested series in Colorado, one that the Nationals managed to pull out of with a win, the Rockies are coming to DC for a four-game rematch. In tonight’s opener, Jordan Zimmermann (9-4, 2.44) will look to return to his ace-like form after an uncharacteristically bad outing in Cleveland: 5 IP, 8 H, 6 ER, 1 BB, 6 K. For Colorado, Roy Oswaltwill make his team debut after making a few minor league starts. He had a 2.16 ERA in five starts at AA Tulsa, and has a 3.28 ERA in 12 career major league seasons.
