Harper Homers in Second Rehab Start

After going 1-1 with a walk in his first rehab start at Potomac, Bryce Harperwas 1-3 today with a monstrous home run to right field. He did not play in the field, instead being placed in the lineup as DH. He had planned to start in the field, but was removed as a precaution after it rained and the field was wet.

By all indications, Harper has looked great in his rehab stint, nearly fully covered from the knee bursitis that has sidelined him for over a month. He could play his first full game on Thursday, and, if all goes as planned, could rejoin the Nationals on July 1st at home against Milwaukee. The Nationals certainly need him and his .287/.386/.587 line.
