District on Deck: Morning Coffee 11/15

Rumors have been going wild lately with Nationals players names being involved and also the Nationals looking at other players. Names including Jeff Samardzija and Jacoby Ellsbury have been thrown around, about them possibly joining the Nats’. Rizzo doesn’t expect Span to go anywhere, but the Nats’ do want to add an elite starter this winter. Rizzo will have to take into account having to give up major prospects in order for that to happen. That is why Samardzija name came into play. He won’t require too much in return as the Cubs farm system is stacked with talent.
