District On Deck: Morning Coffee 11/16

The Washington Nationals are in the running for a couple of left-handed relievers. A couple of names include Oliver Perez and Javy Lopez. These would be huge additions to the bullpen that really needs help from the left side. It’s hard to have a successful bullpen without enough lefties. Nothing is official yet, but District On Deck will keep an eye on this story as more information develops.

Around Major League Baseball yesterday, a story that will grab your heart and melt it, was unfolding right before our eyes. San Francisco Make a Wish Foundation, made one five year old’s day by allowing him to be batman and saving the city of San Francisco. It was a story that was great to keep up with and see how thousands of volunteers turned San Francisco into Gotham City. If you weren’t able to keep up or haven’t heard about the story check it out here.
