District On Deck: Morning Coffee 11/24

Another day where the Nats’ fail to do anything in the trade or free agent market. There is still a lot of time left, so let’s not panic just yet. I still expect them to get a back-end starter and a lefty reliever. It all takes time, but Rizzo doesn’t need to wait too long.

While the Nats’ were sitting at home, the Cardinals went out and are now close to signing Jhonny Peralta to play short stop. Also, the Yankees upgraded their team by signing Brian McCann.

Those teams got a lot better yesterday. For the Cardinals they have gotten better in consecutive days. Peter Bourjos to sure up the outfield defense and Peralta to give them so more offense, as if they needed it. Here is what our Cardinals writers had to say about the potential Peralta deal.
