Washington Nationals: Offseason Complete

facebooktwitterreddit

The Washington Nationals have picked up three players this offseason either by trade or free agency. Those three are Doug Fister, Nate McLouth and Jerry Blevins.

Coming into the offseason the Nationals had three needs. A starting pitcher, a bench player and a lefty reliever. The Nationals now have each of those.

So, what does that mean for the Nationals the rest of the offseason? Well, this is what Mike Rizzo had to say…

"“I think we’re very happy with the group we have.” – Rizzo"

The Nationals could always be blown away by a deal and possibly make a trade, but Rizzo believes they have all they need going forward.

Mark Zuckerman also points this out…

The Nationals have a very solid roster that can win them a lot of games at this point and time. That is all on paper, but you still have to feel great about the upcoming season.

The offseason seems complete for the Nationals and now we look forward to NatsFest in January and Spring Training in February. It is going to be a fun ride ahead of us, but there should be a lot of happy Nats fans around the world!
