Washington Nationals: News & Links 1/21

It was a slow news day for the Washington Nationals as exactly zero rumors came over Twitter involving the Nationals. The only thing that seems to pop up nowadays is Masahiro Tanaka. Until Tanaka comes over to the states and proves he can pitch I don’t want to hear anything about him. For all we know he could turn out to be the next Daisuke Matsuzaka and be a bust once he hits the Major Leagues. There were some blogs that had something to say about the Nationals though.

The folks over at Yanks Go Yard take a look at Drew Storen. Is he a trade option for them? Possibly. They have a pretty deep bullpen but he could end up being the 8th inning guy for them, or who knows even the closer. He has experience and the Yankees need to find someone to replace the legend Mariano Rivera. If anything happens with Storen it will be after a deal is official with Grant Balfour if that happens at all. You can read what they had to say at YGY here.

There is nothing else news wise to give to you at this point, but we are closing in on Spring Training. That is always something to look forward too. If you love warm weather then you have to love Spring Training. Have a great day and go Nats!
