Nationals fans have plenty of reasons to be excited for summer. The Nationals are heavily favored to win the NL East and play deep into the playoffs, the atmosphere at Nationals Park promises to be crazy, no more cold, and most importantly, baseball will be played almost every single night. As if all that wasn’t enough, the Nationals are planning on making this summer even more special, as they are expected to make a ‘major concert’ announcement on Thursday at Nationals Park.
Tomorrow the #Nats are going to announce a 'major concert' that will be played at #Nationals Park. Mike Rizzo will be on hand for it.

The announcement will be made by Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development Victor Hoskins in the PNC Diamond Club at #Nats Park.

Nationals Park is no stranger to big-name concerts. In the last few years, the team has hosted the likes of Billy Joel, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney at Nationals Park. Jason Aldean and One Direction are expected to visit Nationals Park sometime this summer. Could the announcement be about them?
We won’t know exactly who this ‘major concert’ will be until tomorrow, but that hasn’t stopped Nationals fans from expressing who they would like to see on twitter, with requests ranging everywhere from Katy Perry to Elvis.
Although it’s highly unlikely that we’ll see Elvis at Nationals Park this summer, whoever performs promises to add another memorable night to what many expect will be a memorable season. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s announcement, and until then, just hope that whoever this ‘major concert’ is will take better care of the outfield than Paul McCartney did.
