Washington Nationals: News & Links 1/22

Rumors have calmed down a bit for the Washington Nationals since the Grant Balfour rumor. That rumor is still out there and running wild, but like most deals Mike Rizzo makes it will be like an attack that you never saw coming. That is what is fun about Rizzo. You never know when something great is going to happen. If you missed Rizzo’s interview yesterday you can read about it here. The post includes quotes from Rizzo about Grant Balfour.

The Nationals did make a deal yesterday with Clay Hensley. Hensley was signed to a Minor League deal with an invite to Major League Spring Training. He had his best season with the Florida Marlins back in 2010. You can read about his statistics and what you should be expecting from him here.

Other than that, there was nothing going on for the Nationals. DoD’s Pablo Roa will have a NatsFest preview for you today, getting you set for this weekend’s event. Roa will be attending the event and we will have updates for you throughout the day if you can’t make it! Have a great day Nats fans!
