TODAY’S GAME BETWEEN THE NATIONALS AND THE TIGERS WAS CANCELED DUE TO RAIN. (But feel free to read our preview anyway!)

The Washington Nationals will face the Detroit Tigers this afternoon for the third time in the last four days in Lakeland, Fla. The two clubs last played Sunday afternoon in a pitchers’ duel between Jordan Zimmermann and Justin Verlander which Detroit won, 2-1.

Today’s game won’t be any easier for either offense, as Tanner Roark will face Anibal Sanchez in what promises to be yet another low scoring game between these two clubs. The Nationals will play the Tigers once more this spring when Detroit visits Nationals Park March 29 for the final exhibition game of the spring.

First pitch for today’s game is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. EST and the game will not air on TV.
