After a thrilling opening day victory against the Mets Monday and a offday yesterday, the Nationals will play their first night game of the season as they try to start the 2014 campaign 2-0.

Left-hander Gio Gonzalez makes his season debut for the Nationals as he tries to keep his momentum going after a strong spring training. Gonzalez wrapped up his Grape Fruit League season 1-3 with a 2.45 ERA in 18 innings. The Mets will counter with veteran right-hander Bartolo Colon.

For his second game as a Major League manager, Matt Williams put together a very interesting lineup, with Adam LaRoche batting cleanup and Bryce Harper batting sixth. The lineup has caused a stir on social media but, hey, it’s only crazy if it doesn’t work, right?

First pitch for tonight’s game is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
