Down 3-0 in the bottom of the sixth against Nathan Eovaldi and the Miami Marlins, the Washington Nationals got some instant offense courtesy of Adam LaRoche—starting in just his second game since coming off the disabled list on Sunday.

LaRoche belted what looked to be an inside fastball into the right-field upper deck for a two-run shot. Watch the mammoth shot here:

With LaRoche back in the lineup, the Nats gain some serious depth in the middle of the order. The team struggled to consistently post respectable run totals while he was shelved for two weeks.

On the season, LaRoche is hitting .314/.415/.512 with six home runs and 23 RBI. He is well on his way to eclipsing last season’s disappointing numbers.
