After a 6-2 victory over the Orioles on Wednesday, the Nationals look to win the final game of their rain-shortened series against the Orioles Thursday.

Gio Gonzalez (6-4, 3.52 ERA) gets the start for the Nationals as he looks to win his fourth game in a row and extend an impressive scoreless streak that reached 22 innings in his last start against the Cubs. In that game, Gonzalez held the Cubs to just four hits while striking out seven over eight scoreless innings of work.

The Orioles will counter with left-hander Wei-Yin Chen (8-3, 4.12 ERA). In his last start, Chen held the Rangers to two runs on six hits, earning his team-high eighth win of the season. In his career against the Nationals, Chen is 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA over 9 1/3 innings.

Prior to Thursday night’s game, the Nationals are in first place in the National League East with a record of 49-40. The second-place Braves are a riding a four-game losing streak and are a game behind the Nationals.
