Yesterday, the Nats released the annual promotional schedule list and we give you some of our favorites.

As the regular season gets closer, fans of every team are planning out which games they want to go to and which series should they get tickets to see. Another factor that goes into planning what games to buy tickets for are the unique promotions. Yesterday, the Washington Nationals unveiled their full list of promotions for the 2016 regular season, beginning with Nats’ sunglasses for the home opener (April 7) against the Miami Marlins.

Throughout the last couple of days, the Nats have been giving previews to the promotions list by giving away tickets to those games as well as a team grill to fans that re-tweeted the promotions on Twitter. When looking through the list, I saw a couple that were my favorites.

For one, you can’t go wrong with the classic bobblehead. In honor of Max Scherzer’s two no-hitters last season, the Nats are giving away two Scherzer no-no bobble heads in 2016 (May 23 against the New York Mets and August 26 against the Rockies). Plus, in his first year as the manager, you can get a Dusty Baker bobblehead on July 19 when the Nationals take on one of the teams Baker played for, the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Another theme that caught my eye were some of the Bryce Harper promotional items. You can get an MVP bobble head on May 11 against the Detroit Tigers and kids could get his jersey at the July 24 game against the San Diego Padres, but my two favorite Harper promotions for this season are the Rat Pack Posters fans will get on July 2 against the Cincinnati Reds and a Harper chia pet at the July 5 game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Fans got Jayson Werth’s chia pet last season, but this year there is a new Werth promotion. On July 27 against the Mets, fans will get a Werth figurine with his dog, Magnus. If you remember last year, Werth took a picture with his dog for the team’s pet calendar.

Finally, I like that the Nats did a promotion to tie in with this November’s presidential election. On September 30 against the Miami Marlins, the team will give out either a Nationals donkey or elephant to represent the Democratic and the Republican parties.
