The Washington Nationals’ offense struggled as they lost to the Marlins 5-1 Thursday to end the four-game series.

Coming off an extremely encouraging offensive performance the last night, the Nationals’ offense really struggled Thursday in Miami.

Max Scherzer did not have his best stuff and struggled through his five innings of work. This was not the Scherzer we saw last season and he has not looked extremely impressive in his first four starts this year.

Outside of Bryce Harper the offense was not able to get anything going and it seemed very similar to last season.

Before the Nationals take on the Minnesota Twins tonight, check out our takeaways from the loss.
