Past Trade Review: Burnett, Morgan Come to Town
A short time ago we set out here at DoD to evaluate each trade that has been completed by the Nationals organization since the team came into existence for the 2005 season. We’ve taken a look at the one deal completed by former GM Jim Bowden and the first deal completed by current GM Mike Rizzo. This weekend the Nationals go to Pittsbugh to play the Pirates for the first time since the two teams made a deal involving Nyjer Morgan, Sean Burnett, Joel Hanrahan, and the enigmatic Lastings Milledge on July 1st. At the time, the deal was generally thought to have been a slight win for the Pirates. With this being the first post in this blog and the season is already halfway over, it’s only fitting that we take the time to sum up what we’ve missed.
