While the chances of any National making the All Star game due to fan balloting are pretty slim there is a couple Nats players making a case for themselves to be on the all star team. So I will go ahead and take a quick look at those Nationals with an argument

Mike Morse- his miserable performance in the months of March and April hurt his chances but over the last two months he has definitely been making a name for himself around the league.

Over the last 48 games only 40 of which he started he has a .345 batting average with 30 runs, 14 doubles, 14 home runs and 37 rbis. Morse has been one of if not the hottest hitter over the last two months and has played pretty solidly defensively as well.

Danny Espinosa- despite his low batting average (which is on the rise up) he is putting up numbers that are pretty hard to ignore. Headed in to tonights game he already has 14 home runs, 48 rbis, 9 stolen bases, .468 slg and a 4.2 ultimate zone rating all of which are good for either first or second amongst NL second baseman.

Espinosa has been just about as clutch as they come batting .340 with runners and .310 with runners in scoring position. His low batting average will probably keep him out of the all star game but if he continues to bring his average up he could play his way in to being a strong candidate for a silver slugger award as well as the rookie of the year award. Oh and top of that for most of the season he has been playing gold glove caliber defense.

Then of course there is Jordan Zimmermann but pitchers are not selected by fan ballots.
