At 3:05 this Saturday afternoon, the Nationals will take on the Mets after a 7-1 loss last night. The Nationals look to get their offense going after they were shut down by young Mets phenom Matt Harvey on Friday night. Second Baseman Danny Espinosa will return to the lineup after missing the last couple games with injury. Ryan Zimmerman, however, will remain sidelined. The Nationals will throw out Gio Gonzalez today. Gonzalez has had a rather inconsistent season thus far, going 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 16 innings. The Mets will counter with Jeremy Hefner. Hefner, who replaced the injured Johan Santanain the rotation, has been a disaster so far, going 0-2 with a 7.20 ERA and 6 strikeouts in 10 innings.
