Ubaldo Jimenez– Jimenez has been all over the place the last couple of seasons. He has had great years and really bad ones. You never know what you are going to get with him. His delivery is deceptive but he can’t do it consistently. He was also offered a qualifying offer, which will cost the Nats a draft pick if they do want to sign Jimenez.
He is going to want a good amount of money after his decent 2013 season. He could lock up the four spot in the rotation as well. He is also able to give the Nats a lot of innings, when they need him to. He is a high strike out pitcher, but also can walk some. He allowed just under four runs per nine last season. He also isn’t a player that gives up too many homers, that you have to worry about it being an issue.
