The day you’ve been waiting for all winter has finally arrived: the 2014 Washington Nations will take the field for their first game of the year this afternoon. Sure, it’s just the first game of spring training, but it’s still a baseball game.

The Nationals will send 25-year-old Taylor Jordan to the mound in Port St. Lucie, Florida, against the Mets, who will counter with right-handed pitcher Rafael Montero. Today’s first pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m..

The game will air (delayed) on MLB Network, and will also be broadcast on WJFK 1580 AM. As always, stay tuned to District on Deck for full coverage of today’s game, as well as the other 30 games the Nationals are scheduled to play this spring.
