The makeup game will be played at 1:05 p.m. EST while first pitch for the regularly scheduled game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m EST. Thanks to Tuesday night’s rain-out, the Nationals will now end the 2014 season with a five-game series against the Marlins, which could prove to be important if both teams remain close in the standings at the end of September. As of Thursday afternoon, the third-place Nationals are two and a half games back of the Marlins for second place in the division, and three games behind the Atlanta Braves for first.
