So much to touch on in just one slide. This lineup has the second-highest ceiling in the NL behind the Cubs. The formula is there. All that is needed for success is health. Revere is the perfect leadoff man and will steal 40 bases…a Rendon performance even close to two years ago isn’t far-fetched…Harper will be Harper…Zimmerman and Werth just need to stay healthy, and they are two savvy veterans that will get it done in the clutch.

Daniel Murphy is a great add and brings all-around hitting at the second base position…Ramos and Espinosa/Turner/Drew are the biggest question marks. With the right management – and we should all believe in Dusty Baker – the lineup can be the best DC has seen since 2005.

The rotation takes a hit with the loss of Zimmermann but it should be solid once again. Scherzer is an ace, and will be for years to come…Strasburg pitched a fantastic lower third last season. He’s in his contract year and I see a career-defining season ahead for him…Gonzalez just needs to cut down on the walks and he’s a two or even a one in most rotations. Even if he doesn’t, you know what you are going to get from the lefty.

Next: District Daily: Nats Release Burnett/Johnson

Roark and Ross are two of the most underrated pitchers in the National League. Watch out…Mike Maddux is a huge addition not enough people are talking about. There will be a noticeable jump in game management with a Baker/Maddux combo in the dugout.

Prediction: 90-72, 2nd in NL East
