Spring Training is right around the corner, which means its a good time to look at everything you will need to know if you plan on attending.

Kevin Henry over at RoxPile wrote a piece going into detail about Spring Training for the Colorado Rockies. I decided to do the same thing, but for the Nationals.

As the calendar gets closer to February, it means it’s time to start planning your trip to Florida for Spring Training. This will be the most important Spring Training in franchise history. Not only are the Nats the reining world champs, but they also share a stadium with the same team they beat. The Houston Astros, the same Astros that are encased in a huge cheating scandal. It should make for an interesting time at FITTEAM Ballpark.

When does the team arrive?

Pitchers and Catchers will report on February 12th while the rest of the team will arrive on the 17th.

When is Washington’s first spring training game?

The Nats start off Spring Training against their neighbor the Astros on February 23rd at  FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches, The next day they play the Mets.

Tips

Parking is 10 dollars. Click here for a map and parking information.

I recommend arriving early to watch the practices before the games.

The games are usually between 1-2.

After practice is the best time to get autographs from the team.
