Although the Washington Nationals had a disappointing regular season, Nats fans still have reason to watch the 2022 MLB Postseason.

Following a disappointing regular season filled with losses, injuries and trades, the Nationals are looking forward to next season and beyond. Before that time, we have the 2022 postseason. Although the Nats will not be competing for this year’s World Series trophy, multiple former players that fans came to love will be in the hunt for the fall classic.

The following is a complete list of previous Nationals players that are on postseason rosters.

Atlanta Braves: Ehire Adrianza

Cleveland Guardians: None

Houston Astros: None

Los Angeles Dodgers: Blake Treinen, Trea Turner

New York Mets: Max Scherzer

New York Yankees: None

Philadelphia Phillies: Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber

San Diego Padres: Josh Bell, Craig Stammen, Juan Soto

Seattle Mariners: None

St. Louis Cardinals: None

Tampa Bay Rays: None

Toronto Blue Jays: None

The most notable game occurring on Day 1 of the MLB Playoffs is the San Diego Padres at the New York Mets. Not only will recent Nationals sluggers Josh Bell and Juan Soto be in the lineup for the Padres, Max Scherzer will be on the bump for the Mets. All three players suited up for Washington recently and became hometown favorites. The game starts at 8pm on Friday, October 7th.

Nationals fans will have to wait until the next round for their former shortstop, Trea Turner to hit the field. Turner and the Dodgers earned the number one overall seed in the National League after an impressive regular season.

The 2022 MLB postseason matchups are set and the pursuit for the fall classic is on. This is how this years playoff bracket is set up.
