The Offseason has been pretty slow, which has led me to brainstorm the best lineup of Christmas characters I could think of. I tried to include a good balance of speed, power, and overall decent skill in a sport not one of these characters would ever play in their respective universes.
Catcher - Frosty The Snowman
Starting our lineup, Frosty the Snowman brings a good size and leadership to the catcher position. Frosty also provides a unique skill that no other character does. Frosty is a great backstop because wild pitches or pitches in the dirt would simply stick to his snow-made body, keeping baserunners from moving up and extra 90 feet.
First Base - Snow Miser (The Year Without a Santa Claus)
The Snow Miser turns anything he touches into snow or ice. He Sounds like the perfect person to play first base with any wild throws toward the bag. The Snow Miser is another player that provides more defense than batting ability.
Second Base - Charlie Brown (A Charlie Brown Christmas)
We've seen what Charlie Brown can do with a baseball. While Charlie does not have the strongest throwing ability, he can play the position closest to the first base target.
Third Base - The Bumble (Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer)
Third Base was a hard position to scout. In my eyes, the Bumble has a big enough scale to block the hot corner front hard-hit balls. I would also like to assume that the Bumble has a pretty good arm with how big his arms are.
Shortstop - Jack Frost (Rise of the Guardians)
No, not the Jack Frost voiced by Michael Keaton, but the young speedy Guardian from a very debatable Christmas movie. Frost was my hardest selection for the list because it is hard to see "Rise of the Guardians" as a Christmas movie. However, Frost is a Christmas character and provides great speed to a lineup lacking speed at the moment.
Outfielders - Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer and others
Normally a team consists of three outfielders. Well, all of Santa's reindeer provide the ability to jump hundreds of feet in the air, so you can throw any three in the outfield at any time. Not one home run ball would travel over any of their heads, as the reindeer provide the range that not even Jacob Young could.
Designated Hitter - Santa Claus
You simply can not make a Christmas list without including the jolly old man himself. Santa provides an abundance of power to the lineup. Santa is also the clubhouse leader and could also be put into the managerial position following his playing days.
Starting Pitcher - Buddy The Elf (Elf)
If you have ever seen the Movie "Elf," then you know that Buddy has an absolute cannon of an arm. Buddy does not need a pitching arsenal. He can simply just blow fastballs past opposing hitters. Aroldis Chapman wishes he had a fastball as quick as Buddy the Elf.
