Nationals vs. Yankees prediction and odds for Tuesday, Aug. 22 (Keep fading Yankees)
New York is outside the playoff picture, and the Nats are in line to keep handing out the losses.

The Washington Nationals have put together a strong offensive season despite being in the early stages of a rebuild, but the the team can continue to build forward against another team that has floundered amidst lofty expectations in the New York Yankees.
The Yankees have fallen out of the wild card race and it won't get any easier for a team that has struggled to hit all season against a formidable Nationals lineup.
Here are the odds and our best bet for Nationals vs. Yankees on Tuesday night:
Nationals vs. Yankees odds, run line and total
Nationals vs. Yankees prediction and pick
Carlos Rodon continues to be priced like the pitcher he was over the past several seasons and not the one that has pitched this season. The southpaw has made six starts after missing the first half of the season with a shoulder injury and has pitched to a 7.33 ERA while walking nearly as many batters as he is striking out.
He now faces a Nationals lineup that has been proficient at hitting lefties all season, fourth in batting average against left handed pitching (.277).
Even with Aaron Judge back in the lineup, the Yankees offense has been subpar for much of this season, including August. The team is hitting just .233 this month, 24th in the big leagues, and will struggle to keep pace with a Nationals lineup that is going to knock around the struggling Rodon.
I expect the Yankees to lose a season high ninth straight game.
