DoD Content Recap: May 20-26

Another week is in the books and despite additional injuries, the Nationals remain in the thick of the chase for the NL East crown as the season’s second month continues to draw towards an end. As the Memorial Day Weekend comes to a close, we also find ourselves roughly a third of the way through the season.

Possibly the most noteworthy news around these parts is a few additions that we’ve recently made to the DoD staff. Andy debuted his first post late last week. This week he was joined by Bradley, Darlene, and Mike – making four new voices and doubling our staff. It’s just all part of our commitment to make DoD your first stop for Nationals news.

Of course, there was relevant news on the field as well. The bullpen shuffle continued a bit with yet another injury. Ryan Mattheus had to be shut down mid-week, resulting in the activation of Chien-Ming Wang from the DL. Fortunately for Washington the news appears positive for the potential June returns of both Brad Lidge and Drew Storen.
