The day has finally come. As of today, Washington Nationals baseball is officially back! This year's camp will be absolutely loaded with talent, as the club will have more than half of their Top 30 Prospects from the end of 2024 in big league camp, and many eyes will be on new additions like Nathaniel Lowe and Shinnosuke Ogasawara, among others.
We all know the Nationals missed a chance to really make their team better by a significant margin by passing on many big free agents, but this club should definitely be a much-improved product over last year's team. The progression and development of young talent like James Wood, Dylan Crews, CJ Abrams, and others will be imperative to the success of this team in 2025.
Where does Spring Training take place?
Spring Training for the Washington Nationals takes place in West Palm Beach, Florida, and the Nationals share Cacti Park of the Palm Beaches with the Houston Astros. The stadium opened back in 2017, but rapper and Houston native Travis Scott took over naming rights to the stadium last year. Single game tickets can be purchased on the Nationals' website for the games in West Palm as well.
When do Nationals' pitchers and catchers report?
As of today, the Washington Nationals' pitchers and catchers are officially reporting down to West Palm Beach, which officially signals the beginning of Spring Training for the club. Of course, one of the main storylines for Spring Training will be seeing how the starting rotation shakes out, as the Nationals have an abundance of arms competing for spots in the rotation.

When is the Nationals' first full squad workout?
The first full squad workout for the 2025 Washington Nationals in Spring Training will be held on February 18th, 6 days from now. In other words, position players do not have to report until this date, but it is encouraging that some position players, including many of the younger pieces to this club, showed up early to West Palm to start working out and building team chemistry with one another. This team knows that steps will have to be taken in order for this team to improve, and leaders will need to emerge. Showing up early is a great way to set a precedent for the rest of the club.
When is the first 2025 Nationals spring training game?
The first Spring Training game for the Nationals will be held next Saturday, February 22nd, in a split-squad game against the Houston Astros that will technically be an away game although it will take place in their shared home of Cacti Park. There will be games on almost a daily basis beginning on the 22nd, and games will last until March 23rd, which is the final day of Spring Training.
