5. Grey Aways (2011-2023)
These jerseys are nostalgic in all the right ways. The Washington in cursive with the "curly w" makes this jersey super clean. While variations of these jerseys were worn in the past, before 2011, the main change made to them was on the jersey sleeve, where the interlocking DC logo was replaced with a Nationals emblem in a circle featuring the team's signature "curly w". The Nationals wore these uniforms during the years when they had their core players, including 2018, when the team featured many superstars such as Bryce Harper, Juan Soto, Stephen Strasburg, Max Scherzer, and Anthony Rendon. These jerseys bring back the memories of the core Nationals and make us dream of a future with a strong core of superstars, which we hope is not too far away.
4. Navy Patriotic (2011-2019)
These jerseys were fire. Worn on occasions such as Independence Day and Labor Day, these jerseys represented American freedom. The navy base color with the red, white, and blue "curly w," showed off only what a team from our nation's capital could. While all teams (besides the Toronto Blue Jays) wore Independence Day hats, it was only the Nationals that wore matching jerseys, because of the team's location, just a few short blocks from the Capitol building.
3. Home Whites (2011-2019, 2021)
Worn for many of the team's greatest seasons since moving to DC. The team wore these jerseys during the 2012 season when the Nationals' made their first postseason appearance. These jerseys represented some of the first great memories Nationals fans had, including myself.
2. Blue City Connects (2025-Present)
These jerseys are one of the best city connect editions in the whole MLB. These jerseys don't only represent the city of Washington, D.C., but they also represent the Nationals' roots when they first came. With the city lines mapped out on the jersey, to the interlocking DC logo, this jersey doesn't just represent Nationals fans or the city of DC. It represents the nation's history, as the whole Nation's Capital is laid out on a piece of fabric that National players get the opportunity to wear with honor.
1. Navy Nationals Script (2018-Present)
Most well-known for the team using them during their 2019 World Series-winning postseason run, these jerseys are iconic. Navy jerseys are so popular among all baseball teams' fans. And if many fans had a choice of jerseys to get for their favorite team, it would be a navy one, I'd bet, if their favorite team had one. Navy matches with everything, and for these Nationals' jerseys, they represent the team's most successful season ever, but also the adversity they overcame that season, from starting the season 19-31, to eventually winning the World Series as a Wild Card team.
